Private Lessons

Set your own schedule, pace, and focus with lessons designed around your needs, goals, and interests. In Private Lessons, Semi-Privates, and Personalized Groups, it really is all about you! A lesson hour is 50 minutes of instruction, with a 10 minute buffer between lessons to be used at the teacher's discression. They can be online or at our studio in Christiansburg, and can be scheduled (based on student/instructor availability) on weekdays and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Maximizing the use of our facilities is one way we can keep prices down for you. Therefore, up to four lessons may be sharing the dance floor and music at any giving time. Any lesson canceled within 24 hours of the appointed time for any reason other than the sudden development of COVID-19 symptoms will be charged for the missed lesson.

NEW! Online Private Lessons (1-2 people)

50-minute, online private lessons are available now for as low as $140 for 4 lessons. Or, if you're hesitant, try just one for $40 - you would probably spend more on a nice dinner, and you'll get to keep the skills you learn for a lifetime.

Private Lessons (1-2 people)

This one-on-one time with your instructor is a valuable complement to group lessons.  It can also be a great way to get started if you are uneasy about the idea of a group environment. You will be amazed at how much you get out of a lesson with a one-to-one or a two-to-one student-teacher ratio!

Ultimately, every dancer will want to experience this way of learning.  You’ll know when you reach that crucial point where private lessons are needed to enhance progress, refresh memories of forgotten steps, fine tune partnering skills and personal style, as well as gain that needed confidence.

Just call or e-mail us to schedule your lessons.  To get started, we’ll pair you with the teacher that fits your schedule and needs the best.  If you have met our staff and want to work with someone specific, feel free to make a request.  Also, we welcome and encourage you to take lessons from multiple staff members.  A fresh perspective could be just what you need to master that latest move.

Our affordable pricing is as follows:

If you bring your entourage of 1, the price includes both of you. The second person is typically your partner, but a lesson with 2 followers or 2 leaders (where instructor fills opposite role) is still priced as a private lesson.

Semi-Private Lessons (3-6 people)

The more you dance, the more fun you'll have and the more benefits you'll receive from it. And, who better to practice and learn with than friends? That's why we also give the option of semi-private lessons.

You still get a higher degree of individual attention compared to group classes and, though the total price increases as the number of people increase, the actual cost per person goes down!

First time customers: receive over 30% off a group of 4 lessons. For example, a group of 6, buying their first 4 lessons, would pay $280. That's roughly $12/person/lesson. (Dude - that's a deal!)

Personalized Group Lessons (Your whole entourage)

Want dance lessons for your club, your associates, or your special event?
Pricing can range from $98-$300/lesson, and is dependent on the following conditions:

- Location (accommodations & travel distance if off-site)
- Day and Time,
- Size of group,
- Length and frequency of lessons.

Off-Site minimum is $145; discounts available for non-profit and student organizations. Contact us for a quote.

For $375 you'll get 8 Private Lessons to learn the ins and outs of a dance suited to you and your choice of song. No matter what the song or your current skill level, we can help you create a magical dance for your wedding day.
